ENTRY FORMAT:
In as creative a manner as possible, the contestant should provide an
entry consisting of a possible name for the next 3x3 Eyes anime series,
along with any supporting material that demonstrates why the chosen name is the
best choice. The entry must contain the contestant's clearly marked guess
for the title of the series. The entry must also contain the contestant's
name and contact information (preferably an email address). The supporting
material is optional, and can take virtually any form (essay, picture, video,
sculpture, and so forth). There are no minimum or maximum length requirements.
Creativity should be the main objective, not correctness. In other words,
each entry will be judged on its own merits, and not whether the guess for the
title is proven to be correct. In particular, the entry does not have to
correspond with the storyline established by the existing anime and manga
series. However, the entry should not deviate too far from the 3x3 Eyes theme.
The title, contestant information, and any supporting material should be in
English. If another language is used (i.e. Japanese) then a translation
should be provided.
CONTESTANT RESTRICTIONS:
Contest entries will be accepted from any person in any country worldwide,
except where prohibited by national or local laws or regulations. Contest
judges cannot enter the contest themselves. Two or more people may submit
a contest entry as a group, but the number of people who worked on the entry
must be submitted with the entry.
ENTRY SUBMISSION:
Entries should be submitted via email during the time period between the
submission start and end dates. If the entry cannot be submitted via email,
the contestant should contact the judges for specific submission information
(i.e. a postal address or other instructions). In particular, if it would
be impractical to submit the supporting material itself, a picture of the
material may be sufficient.
A contestant may only submit one (1) entry. In the event that multiple
entries are received from a single contestant, only the first entry will
be considered. Only entries submitted between the specified submission
dates will be considered. The judge(s) reserves the right to refuse any
entry (for example, if it does not follow the rules specified here). A
contestant will be notified if their entry is refused, and they may submit
a new entry before the end date of the contest.
WINNERS:
There will be a single winner (no ties), and there may be one
or more honorable mentions, depending upon the entries received. For
example, there may be an honorable mention for the best humorous entry,
if the winning entry is serious. Also, if an entry does correctly guess
the name of the new 3x3 Eyes anime, it will receive a special honorable
mention. If more than one correct entry is received, only the first one
will receive this special award. This special award depends upon an
announcement of the new anime series before the announcement of the winners,
which may or may not happen. The quality and variety of the entries will
determine if there are any honorable mentions, at the discretion of the
judge(s). If a group of people collaborate on a winning entry, they share
the awarded prize. Prizes are listed on the main contest page.
DISPLAY OF ENTRIES:
By submitting an entry to the contest, the contestant grants the contest
holder the right to display the entry, in whole or in part, on the World Wide
Web. The contestant retains all other rights to their entry. If the entry
was not submitted electronically, the contestant can request that it be
returned when the contest is complete, provided the contestant pays for
return postage. The winning entry and any honorable mentions will be
displayed, and a selected number of non-winning entries may also be displayed
depending on the number and quality of entries received. Submitting an
entry does not guarantee that it will be displayed. The contestant has the
right to request that their entry not be displayed, if it is not the winner
or one of the honorable mentions. Such a request should be included with
the entry.
CONTEST CHANGES AND UPDATES:
This contest is subject to postponement or cancellation, and the rules are
subject to change, at any time without prior notice, should such an action
be justified. Any contestants who submit entries prior to such an action
will be notified via email, and an announcement will be made on the main
contest page. No guarantee of prizes is given or implied to anyone who
enters the contest. It is the responsibility of the contestant to comply
with all contest rules as they appear on the submission start date.
